Sr. Logistics Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITY:

  • MISSION 1: SUPERVISE ON SMOOTH MANAGEMENT, FUNCTIONING AND MAINTENANCE OF COMPUTER AND ICT SYSTEM
  • Supervises office network and makes sure internet, backup, updates with the inputs from Logistics Officer-ICT and fleet
  • Maintains an on-going technological watch for new developments & current system
  • Supervises allocation and use of ACF equipment.
  • Proper follows up of repairs & maintenance
  • Provides backup of Log Officer – ICF & fleet during his absence
  • Makes sure that updated Kit log procedures are respected in all technical aspects
  • MISSION 2 : WATCHMEN MANAGEMENT
  • Manages all the watchmen (appraisal, motivation, etc.).
  • Arranges meetings with watchmen and provides briefing on security issues (Validated guideline)
  • Produces watchmen schedule every month
  • Yearly schedule planning for the watchman
  • Ensures leave management for the watchmen. Also arranges backup/casual watchman if requires.
  • Ensures watchmen have appropriate gear and equipment
  • Reports any intrusion/issue
  • MISSION 3 : POWER MANAGEMENT
  • Manages all electrical installations, maintenance, security and backup power (Respects Kit log procedures)
  • Monthly reporting to the Sr. Log Manager about consumption, repairs and maintenance for both Office and backup generator.
  • Supervises periodic checks and ensures smooth operations.
  • Provides support and technical recommendations to the field teams & base on proper power utilization.
  • Makes electrical consumption calculation and provides power distribution design
  • Ensures installation safety and user safety of electrical installation and consumption
  • MISSION 4 : TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT
  • Oversees the proper functioning of the Mechanical issues, i.e. maintenance of all vehicle & generator, garage management, fuel consumption for vehicle and generator, spare parts management, generator maintenance, installation (if requires), IT equipment, electrical issues
  • Provides all technical related support to the Field and in the base collaborating with the Sr. Log Manager
  • MISSION 5 : TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT
  • Ensures vehicle inspection (condition, safety equipment, maintenance, safety & security)
  • Consolidates travel request and distributes weekly (If validated)
  • Informs Sr. Log Manager regarding any technical failure
  • Takes necessary steps collaborating with the Sr. Log Manager regarding the technical maintenance, repair & failure
  • MISSION 5 : ASSET FOLLOW-UP
  • Makes regular inventory of all office and guest house furniture and provides report
  • Updates list of new or broken furniture in the follow-up list regularly
  • Makes and updates asset allocation chart including furniture
  • MISSION 6 : REHABILITATION AND FIELD ASSISTANCE
  • Manages ACF building and rehabilitation work in the field (based on precise PR and scope of work) as well for the warehouse.
  • Maintains all ACF buildings.
  • Proposes rehabilitation required to contribute inputs in the budget proposal
  • Makes estimation of rehabilitation work and BOQ if need
  • Manages field issues validated from log department
  • Ensures all buildings are safe and sound and that all safety equipment is present and in work order
  • Ensures buildings are regularly fumigated/ treated against insects/rodents, etc
  • MISSION 7 : HR SUPERVISION AND MONITORING
  • Delegate the activities and check that they are executed properly & Draw up a work plan
  • Organize training sessions collaborating with the Sr. Log Manager (if requires)
  • Carry out appraisal interviews of the supervises
  • Provide technical support to the team if necessary & suggesting possible improvements
  • Liaise with the Sr. Log Manager regarding HR issues
  • MISSION 8 : SAFETY & SECURITY MANAGEMENT CONTRIBUTION
  • Communicates with watchmen regularly as well provides information regarding security
  • Security follow-up in conjunction with the Sr. Log Manager & Provides input regarding security issues
  • Does need assessment of fire safety and possible solution together with Sr. Log Manager
  • Checks and follows up of fire extinguisher expiry date as well as other hibernation kits / safety kits
  • Makes sure that the security rules are respect
  • MISSION 9 : REPORTING
  • Makes monthly logistics technical reports (equipment, vehicle, ICT)
  • Checks inputs from technical team and consolidate the information
  • Provides all equipment, maintenance, rehabilitation and consumption reports every month.
  • Provides weekly report as per request
  • MISSION 10: ADDITIONAL TASKS DELEGATED BY THE LINE MANAGER
  • Provide support and when requested by the Sr. Logistics Manager.
  • Other tasks as delegated by Sr. Logistics Manager.

JOB NATURE: Full Time

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc honors in Civil Engineering or equivalent level degree with 2 years higher training/related experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Min Experience: 2 Years

REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Firms, NGOs
  • Good knowledge of general technical issues;(Fleet Management, ICT, Energy, rehabilitation etc).
  • Good knowledge of IT and computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • High level of dynamism, accuracy and anticipation.
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Good working attitudes, self-initiative and conscious
  • Organization, initiative, punctuality and courtesy,
  • Good level of spoken English
  • Team player and inter-personal relationships.
  • High level of flexibility.
  • Experience in humanitarian work –Good organizer – Good analytical capacity – Rigor – Team spirit – Capacity to communicate with others and good human relations – Computer knowledge (Word – Excel – Outlook) – Perfect command of English.

SALARY RANGE: Min 42431 to BDT
